![]() ![]() I remember that interview as well! I found a link for it here: A standalone story/world with references to the rest of the Xeno series would make more sense as that seems to be what Monolith's going for with the series. I don't really see them doing a direct sequel to 1 or 2, though. I'm sure they'll have it tie into the Conduit (assuming it really is Xenoblade 3 and not another spin-off like X) since that's been a common theme throughout the series since Xenosaga, I'm curious to see where they go next. Tue 10th Aug I could definitely see the art being for a more fantasy-focused Xenoblade! I could also see it just being promotional art that was just made to catch attention for the listing rather than actually tying into a project, though I'd certainly love to explore the world that art depicted. We don't need to spread rumors from shaky sources to prove it. Xenoblade 3 IS coming, anyone following the series could guess that. That would be incredibly unprofessional and have a negative impact on her future career. Voice actors sign NDAs for every professional project they work on, and someone as experienced as her isn't going to be dumb enough to break it for an interview with a tiny YouTube channel. Also, if she really was doing voicework for Xenoblade 3, she wouldn't outright talk about it. That being said, she has much bigger roles, and I don't blame her for not being invested in a 10 year old video game. A voice actress who's not super invested in the series (she admitted she's never played the games herself) said she THINKS a new one is being made, and some guy who's gotten a lot of things wrong in the past says "trust me guys, it's totally happening" to take advantage of the attention from a poorly conducted interview, and now people care? No one seemed to care when we had actual concrete information, I don't get why very vague comments are what matter more these days.Īnd note that I have no hard feelings against Coleman, I love her work as Melia (if that wasn't obvious). That being said, none of these sources really mean anything. Of course Xenoblade 3 is happening soon, Monolith has mentioned multiple times they're working on a new Xenoblade game and an announcement coming soon would make perfect sense given it's been almost 4 years since Xenoblade 2 came out. ![]() Though it is exciting to hear that it may be close to wrapping up and a new hype cycle starting for the game. All the info we "have" points to literally nothing than a new xenoblade is coming soonish, which was pretty obvious anyway. Plus Imran Khan seems a bit hit or miss with their predictions, like some have mentioned. I really feel that they wanna stick with new parties and worlds in each mainline game, though we have absolutely no idea what form this new game is taking so it's all up in the air. If what she said is something to do with an upcoming role, it could be something of a cameo at best. The stuff about the voice actor just seems (to me at least) like she doesn't know very much of xenoblade as a franchise other than its ongoing, so her comment really seems like she is just referring to that fact. The timings for a new monolithsoft project lines up for a reveal soon and then release sometime next year, it's almost certainly gonna be XC3. Imran Khan has also previously mentioned how the rumoured Metroid Prime Trilogy for Switch has been "long done". The same story from Fanbyte says if "all goes well" the third entry could be released as soon as the first half of next year. "The game is aiming for more character models on screen at once than any previous title, accounting for both playable characters and enemies." The game was supposedly "set to be revealed earlier this year" according to Khan's sources but got delayed due to the pandemic and difficulties optimising the game for the Nintendo Switch: This is why Coleman, who plays Melia, would be aware of a third game, as her character is returning and she more than likely has recorded voice acting for it." "The ending of the trilogy takes place in the far-flung future with a few returning characters who have long-outlived their human counterparts from both Xenoblade Chronicles and Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Khan further explains how the third Xenoblade Chronicles game will be a direct sequel to the second title and shares some details about the story: ![]()
